Small hotel in a great area near Reasonably close to main shopping street, the historical city centre and a bus stop with direct connection to Kyoto station. Fantastic staff, quick check-in and lovely bar. Great location to Yasaka Shrine.

The units are new-fashioned, compact. It has excellent location next to Kawaramachi.

I stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The value for money was amazing, especially considering the prices in the area. The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk into the main area and close enough to explore the rest of the city on foot. I also loved the coffee machine in the foyer, it was a nice touch. Additionally, the hotel provided a smartphone for us to use during our stay, which had maps and saved us a lot of money on WiFi hotspots. Highly recommended.

My stay at Carta Hotel Kyoto Gion was truly enjoyable. The hotel's convenient location along bus routes made it easy to explore the city, especially the beautiful Gion district. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The hotel itself is modern and clean, with many amenities that added to my comfort. I especially appreciated the free handy device provided in each room, which allowed me to easily navigate the city and even make international calls. The contemporary window design added a stylish touch to the rooms.

There were a few minor drawbacks. The room was quite small, but I understand that this is typical for Japan.
